You might wish to include this multi-tool and image editor on every USB stick containing photos. That's the great thing about programs offered in a standalone version. FreeVimager also comes in installable versions (with or without animated tutorial files). I find FreeVimager to be quite useful for preparing images for the web - sizing, bordering, etc. ![]() Any number of image viewing/editting windows may be opened simultaneously. Slide shows can be viewed directly (with transitions, borders and various screen fit sizes as options). Editting options include: crop, resize, borders, soft edges, exposure, red-eye, rotate, flip, and many more... all lossless for jpeg. Images may be saved in the most common file types, including pdf and multipage tiffs. Slide shows may be saved as a single executable file, or burned to disk, while at the same time being renamed and resized. Direct emailing and various scanning options are also supported. The printing preview gives quick access to page sizes, image positioning, and orientation. As an added bonus, an AVI video view is included. To take a snapshot of a frame, first stop the video, then press Insert. The frame will immediately appear in an editting window. The AVI viewer also contains an audio shifting feature to fix out-of-synch sound. For complete coverage of all options, visit the download site and install one of the versions that includes tutorials. GPS mapping is also handled well with this program.
